Yakap through joys 🥹 and sorrows 😭
Interesting ang salitang “yakap” for two reasons, at least according to our founder and chairperson Lloyd Luna 🦸🏻 who also happened to come up with the name Yakap sa Mamamayan.
Una, lahat siguro ng tao eh nayakap na. Common experience. No exception. It’s a universal gesture. A timeless gesture.
🥳Yakap (embrace, hug) is a human way of showing emotions. But it’s one act with two opposite meanings.
Pwedeng kang yakapin because of joy. 🥹 Or, pwedeng kang yakapin because of sorrow. ☹️ Pwedeng sa thick. Pwedeng sa thin. In sickness 😷or in health. 👩⚕️
In the context of our advocacy cooperative, ang Yakap Sa Mamamayan means “loving the Filipinos no matter what, caring for them for who they are, and taking them with us in our journey to growth, harmony, and prosperity.”
🙅♀️We are for inclusion. Kung Pilipino ka — mayaman or mahirap, bata o matanda, may ngipin o wala — willing ka naming yakapin.
Yakap through welcomes 🤗 and goodbyes 👋
Ikalawa, yakap is a gesture of welcome. Hey there!
But not for everybody.
Only those who 😍 love to learn, 🥊 fight for our cause, and ❤️🔥 aspire to be wealthy kasabay ng mga members ng aming Cooperative.
Sa Coop namin, we want you to embrace the 🌤️ newness of life. Yakapin mo yung bagong ngayon at maging excited kang yakapin ang better version mo sa future. 🧞♂️
But “yakap” is also a gesture of goodbye. Kung paalis ka na, yumayakap ka. Kung iiwanan mo na, niyayakap mo pa.
There’s good in goodbye. 👋
🚫Say goodbye to kahirapan. Bye, poverty! Bye, scarcity! Minsan na kitang niyakap. Natagal pa nga. Akala ko hindi na tayo maghihiwalay. But now, let go na. I got a break through this Cooperative. 🌈
We want you to embrace poverty for the last time. Because there won’t be anymore moving forward.✈️
💞Yakapin ang kaalaman
Yakap sa Mamamayan Advocacy Cooperative is about democratized education. 📚To educate people is to make education affordable.
Bigyan ng kalidad na training at learning programs ang ating mamamayan sa presyong hindi sila aaray.
👩💼Ang mamamayang may alam, malaki ang maiaambag sa pag-unlad ng bayan.
In addition, Yakap sa Mamamayan Advocacy Cooperative is about nation-building through rediscovery of the true Filipino identity. Pilipino ka. Ito ang lahi mo. 🇵🇭 This is who you are.
🙅♀️Hindi second-class ang Pilipino. May resibo tayo. Yakapin mo kung sino at ano ka and you’ll never pretend and conceal for another day in your life.
Alamin ang pagkakakilanlan. Alamin kung sino ang tunay na Pilipino.

Yakap sa Mamamayan Advocacy Cooperative is about poverty alleviation — a collaborative journey from self-rediscovery to national prosperity. 🌇
⛓️💥We want to break the chain of the never-ending cycle of poverty. We are not just thought leaders na talk lang nang talk. We are ⛓️💥chain-breakers. We are game-changers. We are 🏗️ nation-builders.

💞Yakapin ang yaman
Yakap sa Mamamayan Advocacy Cooperative is about wealth-creation. Through cooperativism, we stand a better chance to improve our economic power and therefore social status.
🧮Ang kita ng kooperatiba ay para sa members nito. Shareholder ka. May taya ka. Hindi ka empleyado rito. Ang kita ng coop ay kita ng lahat.
Iwan ang kahirapan. Yakapain ang yaman.
