Yakap sa Mamamayan or Yaman Advocacy Cooperative partners with Public Speaking Institute and taps its alumni as members of the Cooperative.

In a meeting attended by Certified Public Speakers and Public Speaking Fellows, Yaman Founder and Chairman Lloyd Luna, shared the mission, vision, and general direction of the Cooperative.

The meeting focused on establishing a cooperative for motivational speakers and trainers, aimed at addressing challenges faced by the lower middle class in accessing quality training and education.

Participants discussed the cooperative’s structure, membership types, and financial aspects, including capital requirements and revenue generation through training programs.

The group explored the cooperative’s potential for poverty alleviation, financial empowerment, and nationwide expansion, emphasizing the importance of collective strength and creating a level playing field for less privileged individuals.

Cooperative Model for Training Access

The speaker discussed the concept of establishing a cooperative model for motivational speakers and trainers to address the challenges faced by the lower middle class in accessing quality training and education. They proposed that members of the cooperative would not only receive training and seminars but also become part-owners, sharing in the profits and benefits. The speaker emphasized the importance of creating an equal playing field for less privileged individuals and highlighted the uniqueness of this approach in the Philippines. They expressed excitement about the potential of this concept and invited others to join in building this cooperative.

Public Speaking Advocacy Cooperative

The meeting discussed the establishment of a cooperative for public speaking and training advocates, with Leila expressing interest in joining as a member.

Luna explained the cooperative’s structure, membership fees, and advocacy goals, emphasizing poverty alleviation through training and education. The group discussed plans for orientations, training programs, and expanding membership nationwide, with a target of 30,000 members in two years.

Luna highlighted the collective strength of the organization and its potential to create its own market while advocating for a level playing field.
